What is IOSH?

IOSH is the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health. It is a leading body designed to provide the skills, tools and knowledge to those who are responsible for health and safety in the workplace.

Does IOSH training expire?

No. Once you are certified, you carry that qualification for life. However, it is recommended that candidates refresh their knowledge every 3 years.

Can you use IOSH Working Safely to apply for a CSCS card?

Yes. IOSH Working Safely is an alternative to the CITB Health and Safety Awareness course. Once complete, you can apply for a CSCS Green Labourers Card. However in addition to the course you must complete the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Operatives Test.

Note: IOSH Working Safely e-Learning courses cannot be used for applying for a CSCS card.
