Additionally, the Working at Heights Regulations 2005 state no person should be allowed to engage in a working at height activity unless competent to do so. Therefore, making it a necessity for staff to receive adequate training.

Course Contents

Candidates will learn important topics including filling out risk assessments, identifying hazards and choosing the correct equipment. The full course content is:

  • Working at heights definition
  • Completing and implementing risk assessments
  • The merits of risk assessments and safety inspections
  • Working at height legislation
  • Planning work
  • Choosing equipment
  • Basic maintenance and safety procedures
  • Hazard identification

Assessment and Certification

Candidates will undertake a short multiple-choice test paper to test their understanding.

Successful candidates will receive certificates accredited through Highfield Qualifications shortly after the training day.

We recommend renewing this qualification at least every 3 years to stay up to date with the latest procedures and legislation.

working with in the construction industry its is critical that our employee meet health and safety standers to ensure a good working environment not only for them self but others.

the course was very helpful in ensuring that we meet this stander-ed, i would recommend livius training to anyone and have also set other various courses there

  4. Rated 5 out of 5

    Helen Owen – October 12, 2017

Working within the Construction Industry means that our workforce must all have a certificate for working at heights and the training course provided by Livius covered all aspects.

The venue is in an ideal location for our team who are located in various parts of Yorkshire and parking is available on site. The trainer explained everything clearly and did not rush the content so it was easier for staff to understand and take notes.

I would recommend this course to anyone and will be booking future training courses with Livius.
