This course is for all food handlers in retail, hospitality and manufacturing, whether they are involved in the production or preparation of food.
Not only is food safety training a legal requirement, but, it helps businesses increase their hygiene rating. It can also increase their standing within the supply chain.
Level 2 food safety covers topics regarded by the Food Standards Agency as important, thereby, ensuring food handlers understand the need for hygienic practice.
Candidates will be taught a variety of topics. These include potential contaminants, food safety legislation and responsibilities of employees in the workplace.

Assessment and Certification
Candidates will recieve a course booklet to assist them throughout the course. At the end of the course, candidates will take a multiple-choice question paper to test their understanding
Successful candidates will receive their certificate, accredited through Highfield Qualifications, shortly after their training.
We recommend that candidates retake the course every 3 years to refresh their understanding.
