However, in practice, there are many considerations for schools to make to ensure they comply, and our 5 key guidelines will help you ensure you remain compliant.
All schools must provide suitably stocked first-aid kits in locations throughout the school and off site.
All schools must have an appointed person and/or first aider for their first aid needs on and off-site and enough cover to include sickness, absence, and holidays
All schools must provide information for employees on first-aid arrangements.
All schools must ensure that first aid can be administered at all times, taking into consideration absences of a first aider or appointed person.
All schools must use a suitable first aid training provider that meets the required standards for HSE & Ofsted.
