Before attending the trainer-led, face-to-face practical session, participants complete the New Blended Paediatric First Aid eLearning module as many times as needed, reinforcing knowledge for maximum recall and confidence when handling real-life emergencies.

Who is this qualification for?
This qualification is aimed at individuals wishing to gain the knowledge and skills required to enable them to provide effective emergency paediatric first aid. It is intended for learners such as parents and relatives, pre-school or nursery staff, toddler group volunteers, childminders and nannies, au pairs and foster parents, or anyone who has to deliver first aid as part of their role in either childcare settings or a domestic environment.
Assessment method
This qualification is assessed by practical demonstration and multiple-choice theory test.
E-Learning
The e-learning can form part of blended learning if at least 6 hours of the training is face to face; a minimum of 12 hours of learning is provided to learners (when combined with time spent face to face) and; learners’ skills and knowledge is assessed in full during the face-to-face part of the course, in accordance with the qualification specification.
