If you already hold a First Aid qualification, you will need to provide a copy of your certificate on, or before the date of your training course; this certificate is required to register the Forestry Qualification.
If you need to complete or refresh your First Aid qualification, we do offer Emergency First Aid on the same dates as our Forestry module.
Learners should be aware that this training involves the use of simulated wounds and bleeding, it’s really not for the faint-hearted / squeamish!!
Assessment and Certification
First aid is a highly practical subject, which means you’ll get the chance to perform practical activities throughout the session. Practical activities involve the use of simulated wounds and significant volumes of imitation blood (please dress accordingly, as clothing may be splashed). Whilst you complete each task, your tutor will assess your capability, to ensure that you are performing each technique correctly.
In addition, you’ll sit a short question paper to confirm your understanding of the subject. You must pass both the practical assessment and the question paper to gain your certificate.
After passing the course, you’ll receive your certificate, which is valid for 3 years.
All our First Aid qualifications, including the Forestry First Aid module are OFQUAL regulated, qualifications provide under Highfield Qualifications & NucoPlus
