Livius are looking forward very much to welcoming our clients old and new back into our training centre.
To ensure everyone is kept well and safe we have put precautions and procedures into place to protect all candidates and the Livius team.
The Centre will operate a one way system & are restricting the number of candidates on a course to enable social distancing in the rooms and for movement.
Please be assured that we are extremely resolute in our wish to keep everyone safe and well and will continue to do so for as long as we need to keep safeguards in place.
The procedures for attending Livius Training Centre
All candidates will be asked to have a temperature check before entering the building.
If your temperature is 38.7˚ or above or show any signs of the illness you will be asked to leave.
You will be asked to wait outside the main reception entrance door to be called in to register observing social distancing of 2 metres apart.
If it is raining candidates can stay in their cars if they wish and we will call you in.
On entering the reception please wash your hands at the sink in the reception area. Soap, Sanitiser and towelling are in place
Move to the table to your right to sign in. This ensures safe distance from Livius personnel at the reception desk.
Please keep your pen.
The toilets are out of the back door of the reception area. Turn right and they are situated on your left. We ask you visit them now, if you need to do so, before the course starts.
There are also masks and gloves available on request.
Those that have been to our centre before please note that refreshments have been moved temporarily out of the reception area.
The Tea & Coffee refreshments are temporary being stationed in the Seminar Room. Continue through the Training Room to the Seminar Room in order to find our refreshments.
This gives social distancing space for candidates to get their drinks safely.
There will be a jug of water for each candidate on their training table
Our biscuits are individually sealed packets.
Lunches & Snacks:
The Business Park has a café on site which is currently operating a take away service. Menus will be available in the Seminar Room. We operate a pre-order system to ensure your lunch is ready for you. Payment direct to the café on collection. Please complete the order form by 11am. You can also bring your own lunch.
Lunch can be eaten at your table in the Training Room, in the Seminar Room or outside at the picnic area on the lawn. Please maintain social distancing at all times.
Please enter the training room through the internal door from Reception.
Whilst observing others and maintaining social distancing sit at an available table. Ensure you are seated ready for the course in good time.
All tables are set so that all candidates are at least 2 metres apart. The tables will be set with a pad, pen, course book, water jug and glass. The Trainer will be at least 2 metres in front of the class.
Refreshments are temporarily in the Seminar Room at the back of the Training room.
Please observe social distancing when moving from one room to another.
Masks and gloves are again available on request.
Make yourself a drink. If you wish to be outside to have your drink please sit at the tables on the lawn area. Do not stand outside the doors. Smokers please use the smoking area in the carpark.
Leave empty cups on the tray provided. Rubbish in the bin
Please return to your course in good time. You are can take your refreshments with you if you wish.
Precautions for the running of First Aid courses
All tables are set so that all candidates are at least 2 metres apart.
The tables will be set with a pad, pen, course book, water jug and glass.
The Trainer will be at least 2 metres in front of the class.
All Candidates will be assigned one mat and one First Aid Manikin each. The mats will be at least 2 metres apart.
The trainer will give clear instructions for movement around the dummies.
Each Manikin face will be sterilised and the body sanitised before & after each course.
Plastic mouth to mouth shields will also be available should you wish to use one.
Each Manikin will have new lungs for each course
Each Candidate will have will be given a tub of alcohol wipes to clean the face masks
Top to Tail inspection will be carried out on a Dummy rather than on another candidate
The Choking procedure will become a practical demonstration by the trainer
The Practical sessions will be set up in another room from the theory based learning classroom. All candidates will be asked to observe the Social Distancing rules when moving from one room to another.
Industry Training Advice
We are continuing to monitor and put in place advice from Government and Industry Awarding Bodies. For your re-assurance please contact us or our full guidelines that we are incorporating into our first aid training courses.
We understand that by you accepting to attend a training course you acknowledge and agree that Livius Events Ltd will not be responsible for you becoming ill following a training course or liable for any losses or damages, from the result of being ill, whether indirect, incidental or consequential advised or otherwise.
We are advocates of social distancing as a measure to controlling the virus going forward therefore please be mindful of those around you and keep your distance.
We are happy if you wish to wear masks, particularly when moving around.
Throughout the day we shall be keeping the reception, refreshment area and training rooms clean.
The Rooms will be cleaned and sanitized at the end of each day
There will be minimal contact from our team to lessen the number of people you will be in contact with throughout the day.
We have removed loose literature to implement a no touch policy where possible. Please take home the pen, pad and course book from your table.
